Posie Parker: NHS Fraudster

During the pandemic, Kellie-Jay Keen used her business Adulthumanfemale.store Ltd to sell fraudulent NHS stickers designed to mimic official signage, which she encouraged her customers to vandalise hospitals with. Photographic examples of this appear on the feminist_vandalism Reddit. They use the official NHS logo and give no indication of being any kind of parody.

The NHS take their official identity extremely seriously and have an entire website devoted the guidance of its usage and the importance of sticking to it at
england.nhs.uk/nhsidentity.

They are particularly clear on ‘Who cannot use the NHS Identity?’

“The letters ‘NHS’ and the NHS logo are protected by law. They are UK trade marks owned by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care and may not be produced without permission.

In addition, the Secretary of State owns the copyright in the NHS logo and reproduction without permission is similarly prohibited.

The term “NHS” is also protected by the Company, Limited Liability Partnership and Business Names (Sensitive Words and Expressions) Regulations 2014 and no company can be incorporated with the letters without the express permission of the Department of Health and Social Care.

Therefore, the NHS letters and NHS logo cannot be used as part of the corporate identity of an organisation or their strapline, or as part of the name or logo of a particular initiative, without authorisation from the Department of Health and Social Care on behalf of the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.”

Endorsements:

“The NHS or the Department of Health and Social Care cannot endorse or be seen as endorsing third party goods or services, regardless of if the third party has provided goods and services to the NHS or DHSC. Similarly, NHS staff members are not permitted to use their status as an NHS employee to endorse a third party in a private or professional capacity.”

Adulthumanfemale.store Limited is a Private Limited Company owned and operated by Kellie-Jay Keen a.k.a. Posie Parker with the Company Number 13370238.

Adulthumanfemale.store
is also the address of her website on which she sells a variety of “gender critical” merchandise.

On her Youtube channel, Kellie-Jay stated:

“I’ve got NHS stickers, and I’d like the NHS to challenge me on the fact that they just simply say ‘single sex’, ‘single sex ward’, or ‘single sex space’, I can’t quite remember, but if you’re going into hospital to visit someone, and you want to make the point that ‘single sex wards’ literally means ‘single sex’, we have the sticker just for you.”

Upon being confronted with this dangerously illegal behaviour, Kellie-Jay’s only response was to threaten legal action for libel and defamation, before simply blocking anyone who brought up the subject on Twitter. However, she did eventually take the stickers down from her site and they are not currently for sale.

The address for the product page was www.adulthumanfemale.store/product-page/health-sticker and this can still be viewed via The Wayback Machine.

All misuse of NHS trademarks should be reported to the Department of Health and Social Care who can be contacted at identity@dhsc.gov.uk.

Please take the time to inform them of this illegal profiteering and to voice your objections to the insulting disrespect shown to the hardworking NHS staff made to deal with this deeply irresponsible confusion while exhausted and traumatised from trying to cope with a pandemic.

This is a criminal act and should be prosecuted as such. If enough people draw attention to it, Kellie Jay-Keen will no longer be able to get away with ignoring it.
